    2digital.news is a project operated by Andersen Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”).
    Controller: Andersen Inc., Registered in Delaware, USA
    Principal Office: 1234 Main Street, Dallas, TX 75201, USA
    Email: info@2digital.news

    Aim of this privacy policy

    We are fully committed to comply with applicable data protection and privacy laws.

    This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information, as well as reflecting our belief that safeguarding privacy is essential to maintaining the trust of our users and partners.

    Principles of data processing

    In the course of our business activities, we may collect and use certain types of information about individuals we interact with (“personal information”).

    We are committed to processing personal information responsibly and in accordance with applicable U.S. laws. In particular, we follow the principles specified below:

    Fair and transparent processing

    We process personal information for legitimate and disclosed business purposes, in a fair and transparent manner. Individuals are informed about the types of data we collect, the reasons for collection, and how the data is used or shared.

    Purpose limitation

    Personal information is collected and used only for the specific and clearly defined purposes described in this Privacy Policy or disclosed directly to the individual. We do not use personal information for unrelated or incompatible purposes without prior notice or consent, where required by law.

    Data minimization

    We limit the collection and processing of personal information to what is reasonably necessary and proportionate to achieve the stated purposes.

    Accuracy and right to correction

    We take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is accurate and kept up to date. Individuals may request correction of inaccurate data at any time.

    Storage limitation

    We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law or permitted by law and consistent with our record retention obligations.

    Individual rights

    We respect the rights of individuals regarding their personal information, including access, correction, deletion, and opt-out rights as described in the “YOUR RIGHTS” section of this Policy.

    Sensitive information

    We do not collect or use “sensitive personal information” (such as precise geolocation, biometric, or health data). If such information is collected in the future, we will provide clear notice and a mechanism to exercise the right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information as required by law.

    Accountability

    We maintain internal policies, staff training, and monitoring procedures to ensure compliance with this Policy and applicable privacy laws.

    Non-discrimination

    We will not discriminate against any individual for exercising any privacy rights guaranteed by applicable laws.

    Purposes of processing (how we use personal information)

    We process personal information only when it is reasonably necessary and proportionate to achieve the purposes disclosed below. We do not use personal information for purposes that are unrelated to or incompatible with these purposes without providing additional notice (and obtaining consent where required by law).

    We process personal information to:

    Provide requested information and respond to inquiries.

    For example, when you submit a contact form or request a consultation, we use the information you provide to reply and follow up.

    Send email alerts and newsletters (optional).

    If you subscribe, we will send you content related to the 2digital.news project. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor opt-out requests consistent with the CAN-SPAM Act.

    Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and services.

    This includes ensuring proper functionality and availability, performing analytics (e.g. Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity), monitoring security and fraud prevention, fixing errors, and improving user experience.

    Communicate with users who voluntarily provide their contact details for project updates or newsletters related solely to 2digital.news.

    Comply with legal obligations and protect our legitimate business interests, including safeguarding our systems, preventing fraud or abuse, and defending legal claims.

    What we do not do:

    We do not use personal information for targeted advertising, and we do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

    We do not engage in automated profiling that produces decisions that significantly affect you.

    Sensitive personal information (SPI):

    We do not collect or use SPI (e.g. precise geolocation, biometric or health data). If this changes, we will provide clear notice and a mechanism to exercise the right to limit the use and disclosure of SPI as required by the applicable laws.

    How we collect personal information

    We collect personal information from the following sources:

    Directly from you

    When you provide it to us (e.g. by submitting a contact form, sending an email, or otherwise communicating with us);

    Automatically from your device

    When you visit our website, we automatically collect limited technical information (e.g. IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, timestamps, and referring URLs) through server logs, cookies, and similar technologies (including Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity). For details, please see our Cookie Policy;

    From third parties and publicly available sources.

    Where permitted by law, we may obtain limited information from service providers (e.g. hosting/analytics vendors) and from publicly available sources (including publicly available social-media pages or interactions with our official profiles, consistent with those platforms’ terms). We do not purchase personal information from data brokers.

    What personal information we collect

    Depending on your interactions with us, we may collect the following categories of personal information:

    Identifiers and contact information

    Examples: name, email address, phone number (if provided), IP address, and other identifiers associated with your device or browser.

    Internet/electronic activity information

    Examples: pages or content viewed, clicks and interactions, referring URL, date/time of visit, general location inferred from IP (country/region), and technical data (browser/OS). These data help us operate, secure, and improve the website.

    User-provided content

    Any information you voluntarily include in free-text fields (e.g. the message you submit via our contact form).

    Categories not collected

    We do not collect SPI (e.g. precise geolocation, biometric, health data), commercial transaction information, or inferences for profiling. If this changes, we will provide additional notice and applicable choices.
    Note on IP and technical data: Under certain U.S. state privacy laws, device and network information (including IP address) may be considered personal information. We process such data for security, functionality, and analytics purposes only, as described in this Policy and our Cookie Policy.

    How we keep personal information secure

    We believe personal information should be handled responsibly and protected with appropriate safeguards. While no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, we implement reasonable administrative, technical, organizational, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, consistent with applicable privacy and security requirements.

    Our security program includes, among other things:

    • Access controls and least-privilege permissions: role-based access, multi-factor authentication where appropriate, and periodic access reviews (on a “need-to-know” basis);
    • Encryption: use of industry-standard TLS to protect data in transit and encryption at rest where appropriate;
    • Network and application security: network segmentation and firewalls, secure configuration and patch management, vulnerability scanning, and – where appropriate – independent security testing;
    • Logging and monitoring: centralized logging, continuous monitoring, and alerting to detect and respond to potential security events;
    • Secure development and change management: established procedures for change control, code review, and remediation of identified issues;
    • Vendor and processor management: contractual and technical safeguards requiring service providers to protect personal information to a standard no less protective than ours;
    • Training and governance: staff privacy and security awareness training and internal policies to support ongoing compliance;
    • Incident response and notifications: a documented incident response plan; if a data breach affecting personal information occurs, we will provide notifications as required by the applicable laws;
    • Retention and disposal: we retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes outlined in this Policy and securely delete or de-identify it when no longer required.
      Important: Email and other free-text fields are not intended for sensitive data. Please do not submit sensitive personal information (e.g., precise geolocation, health, biometric, or financial account numbers) through our contact form or by email.

    Children’s privacy

    Our website is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from children.

    If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete such information promptly in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

    In addition, we do not knowingly sell or share personal information of minors under 16 years of age, as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

    If you believe that we may have collected personal information from your child, please contact us at info@2digital.news, and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

    Third-party disclosure

    We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and we do not disclose personal information to data brokers. We also do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of minors under 16.

    We may disclose personal information in the limited circumstances below:

    Service providers and contractors

    We engage trusted vendors to perform services on our behalf (e.g. website hosting and CDN, analytics, email delivery, security and anti-fraud, IT support, professional advisors). These recipients are bound by written agreements that: (i) limit processing to specified business purposes, (ii) prohibit use for their own independent purposes (including any sale/share), (iii) require appropriate security measures, and (iv) require deletion or return of personal information at the end of the engagement;

    Legal and compliance

    We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that the disclosure is required or permitted by law, court order, subpoena, or other lawful process, or to protect our rights, users, or the security of the website. We strive to limit disclosure to the minimum necessary;

    Business transfers

    In connection with a corporate transaction (e.g. merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy), personal information may be transferred to a successor entity subject to this Privacy Policy or a substantially similar policy. We will provide notice where required by law;

    Aggregated and de-identified data

    We may share aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify an individual. We maintain and use de-identified data in accordance with applicable law and do not attempt to reidentify it.

    For details about cookies and analytics technologies (including the categories, purposes, and retention applicable to analytics and embedded content), please see our Cookie Policy.

    U.S. state privacy rights

    We comply with applicable U.S. state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and similar laws in other jurisdictions, such as Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Virginia (VCDPA), Utah (UCPA), and Texas (TDPSA), where applicable.

    Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, as well as to opt out of certain processing activities such as targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of personal information.

    To exercise these rights, please contact us at info@2digital.news. We will verify and process all requests in accordance with the applicable laws.

    Verification of consumer requests

    To protect privacy and maintain security, we use reasonable methods to verify that a person submitting a request is the individual to whom the personal information relates (or an authorized agent). The level of verification we apply may depend on the type and sensitivity of the request (for example, access or portability may require a stricter match than an opt-out request).

    What we verify

    We may ask you to confirm personal identifiers that we already maintain (e.g. your email address and information related to your prior interactions with us). Where appropriate, we may request additional details solely for verification purposes.

    Use limitation

    Information collected for verification will be used only to verify your request, and we will delete or de-identify it when verification is complete, consistent with our retention practices.

    Authorized agents

    If you submit a request through an authorized agent, we may require proof of the agent’s authorization and may also require you to verify your own identity directly with us.

    Unable to verify

    If we cannot reasonably verify your identity (or the agent’s authority), we may deny the request in whole or in part and will explain the reason. Where applicable under state law, you may have the right to appeal our decision as described in the “Your Privacy Rights” section.

    If required by applicable law, we may apply additional verification steps depending on the nature of the request.

    Security disclaimer

    While no method of transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, we implement reasonable administrative, technical, organizational, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. We continuously work to maintain and improve our security controls. If we become aware of a data breach affecting personal information, we will provide notifications as required by the applicable laws. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or stored on our systems.
